Local neighbourhood forum aims amended in bill - News

The latest amendment to the Localism Bill provides for both resident- and business-led neighbourhood forums will have the same powers and the same overall purpose. The amendment states that a neighbourhood forum can be set up on condition that it is for "the express purpose of promoting or improving the social, economic and environmental well-being of an area...whether or not it is also established for the express purpose of promoting or carrying on of trades, profesions or other businesses".

Is there any appetite in the Aston, Swallownest, Aughton for setting up such a forum to help promote the regeneration and development of the area?
